What’s the name of your company? How did you come up with the name?
Studio58 – We wanted a name the reflected that design ideas, creativity is our priority here – the name is Studio is used for Art, Music, Pottery, Design – 5 is the closest number of my partner Simone first name letter and 8 the closes to my name first letter Babi.
How did you start your business? What do you think makes you stand out from other design companies?
Simone and I met working on the field for separate companies and we were always scared how the high end clients had so much problems caused by lack of communication and clarity on the service. Since we are both architecture designers we decided to partner and have the costumer service as a priority in our deliveries.
I take care of all the client Relationship, from beginning to end while she coordinates the design and build team.We also decided that she would be the Architect and I would be the General Contractor to offer a complete solution to our clients.I believe what sets us apart is our process.
Although we work with creativity we have a well oiled design process that allows us to delivery a unique service at that agreed time. I know that sound the basic, but how many horror stories we don’t hear about designers and contractors that delays their deliveries many times?
What are you most passionate about?
Retail Design. We are a small boutique business and we know how difficult it is to find companies that want to work with small business. We develop a solution that allows small business to afford high quality architecture and construction services.
How did you start working with some of the most creative coffee shops in Orlando?
Most of our clients come from Google, they are local business looking for local companies!
How do you decide which projects are a good fit for you and your firm?
We assist small-medium sizes business. A good fit is when the client is looking for a space transformation.
Can you share more of your process?
Our process starts with a brief call for me to understand the needs and desires of the client. After he agrees with our proposal we schedule a briefing meeting to go over more deep details of the business.Then we start gathering references and design solutions for everything the client requested and the business needs.
Often in this process we share our experience with customer service as a small business owner.With all this material we start brainstorming ideas until we find the one that we think is the best fit for our clients project.
We take this first steps so seriously that in the project review phase that are only a couple comments that we need to adjust. We are not mind readers, is our process that was develop with over 10 years of experience working in the field.
What is the ultimate space or business you would like to work with?
We would like to start working with small- medium size corporate offices. That is the space that we spent most of our times and it should be a place to inspire creativity and well being. Not just a chair and table like most places. Today we rent a coworking space. Soon we dream about having our own conference room to invite our clients and host events.
